"Apps for Ag" 2016 Competition

In partnership with Georgian College, Grey County is hosting its first ‘Apps for Ag’ competition and inviting technology developers to apply their skills to solving challenges for agriculture and food producers.
Experts from AgNition and Incubator North/Palmer Anderson are partnering in the Apps for Ag competition as expert mentors and judges and will facilitate a live roundtable workshop with competition finalists during the Ag 4.0 Summit on November 2, 2016.
$1000 in prize money is available! The winning submission will receive $500, second-place $250, and two runners-up will receive $125 each.
Anyone interested in submitting a web or mobile application, Internet of Things application/process, or other similar technological intervention is invited to register. You will be invited to attend a Hackathon on October 1st at Georgian College's Owen Sound Campus, and invited to submit a project synopsis/letter of intent about your submission in order to pitch your idea to the panel of judges and be eligible to win the competition.

· October 21: Project outlines due via Eventbrite
· October 26: Product/project pitches to expert mentors (Barrie/Owen Sound)
· November 2: Top four submissions invited to workshop at Ag 4.0 Summit
· November 2: Results announced
· December 8: Winning projects featured at Georgian College’s Innovation Showcase
